Stopping last frame or make loop in After Effects

In many cases, it may be necessary that after the footage file has come to the end, it shall freeze at the last frame and may be extended to any length.

Or you may not want to freeze the last frame like this but you only want to loop it.

There are several solutions for this.

In this tutorial we show you some of these. Simple and quick solutions that can greatly facilitate your work if you work with footage files such as Grunge Figure.

Script:

Use this script in After Effects:
loopOut(type = "cycle", numKeyframes = 0)

Freeze last frame

Once you’ve selected the layer you want to edit, click LAYER:
click LAYER
 

Select TIME:
Select TIME
 

Select ENABLE TIME REMAPPING:
Select ENABLE TIME REMAPPING
 

Increase your layer:
Increase your layer
 

That’s all!

Make loop

Once you’ve selected the layer you want to edit, click LAYER:
click LAYER
 

Select TIME:
Select TIME
 

Select ENABLE TIME REMAPPING:
Select ENABLE TIME REMAPPING
 

Alt + click there:
alt + click there
 

Write this After Effects script here:
